Board Meetings, Masterclass and Q&As

Board Meetings: I hold a Board Meeting with every class for the first three weeks of the Course. This gives me the chance to meet every student individually and to learn how each person is responding to the Course. If a child has a particular interest or career aspiration, this can be raised and form the basis of a conversation with the group. To this end, parents are invited to tell me of any particular interest or aspiration their child has.
Masterclass: In the period between lunch and the start of the afternoon programme, there is an optional Masterclass given by a member of staff to reflect an interest that person has. Topics covered include UK accents, English parliamentary systems, rap lyrics, metaphysical poetry of the sixteenth century and Shakespeare.
There may be a ‘Masterclass’ online event outside the Course as was the case from May 2020 until the end of the pandemic.
Q&A: We shall also invite parents to come to Question and Answer sessions via Zoom.
